For the conversion of the dishwashing area, sustainability was at the top of the list for the owner and director of Hotel Schweizerhof. Two undercounter and one rack type dishwashing machines emerged as the optimal solution based on the demands of the restaurants, with a total seating capacity of 180. ‘Compared with the previous models, the new models use around 50 percent less water and proportionally less chemicals,’ emphasises Reto Buser. This means the dishwashing machines consume less electric and ensure an economical energy footprint thanks to their optimised airflow. On top of that, the working climate is significantly less hot and humid, which employees appreciate. For optimal hygiene, an ecological, chlorine-free product that meets all international hygiene requirements is used.

Thanks to the new space-saving dishwashing machines, the hotel has gained work surface. The new floor also provides for additional occupational safety. ‘The entire conversion was completed within just four weeks,’ states Christian Zinn, pleased. This required close collaboration between the kitchen installer, plumber, electrician and the MEIKO service organisation on site.
